These Terms of Service govern your use of the aTownRides ride-sharing platform. Please read them carefully. By using our Service you agree to these terms.
By creating an account, accessing, or using the aTownRides platform (the "Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. By using aTownRides, you represent that you meet this requirement.
aTownRides is a community ride-sharing platform that connects riders seeking transportation with drivers willing to provide it. The platform operates via a mobile application (iOS and Android) and a web interface.
Users may participate as a Rider (requesting rides), a Driver (fulfilling ride requests), or both. Drivers must complete an application and approval process before accepting rides.
aTownRides is a technology platform that facilitates connections between riders and drivers. We are not a transportation company and do not employ drivers. Drivers are independent members of the community.
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized access or use of your account.
You agree to provide accurate, current, and complete information when creating your account and when using the Service. You are responsible for keeping your account information up to date.
Each user may only maintain one active account. Creating multiple accounts is prohibited.
When you submit a ride request, you provide accurate pickup and dropoff locations. You agree to be present at the pickup location at the agreed time.
When a driver proposes a pickup time and you confirm it, you are committing to be available. Repeated no-shows may result in account suspension.
You agree to treat drivers with respect. Harassment, threatening behavior, or property damage is strictly prohibited and may result in permanent account termination.
You may cancel a ride request before it has been accepted by a driver. Cancelling confirmed orders is discouraged and may affect your standing on the platform.
To become a driver, you must submit an application through the app and receive approval from the aTownRides administrative team. We reserve the right to accept or deny any application at our discretion.
A one-time driver registration fee may be charged upon approval. This fee is communicated clearly during the application process. Fees are non-refundable once the application is approved.
You are responsible for ensuring your vehicle is roadworthy, properly insured, and compliant with all applicable local laws and regulations. You must hold a valid driver's license.
Drivers are independent community members, not employees of aTownRides. You have complete discretion over when and whether to accept ride requests.
Drivers agree to treat riders with professionalism and respect. Harassment, unsafe driving, or misrepresentation is strictly prohibited and will result in account suspension or termination.
Pricing for rides is communicated between riders and drivers directly. aTownRides does not currently process payments for individual rides — any payment arrangements are made between the parties.
Driver registration fees, where applicable, may be collected via a payment link sent by administrators. These fees are subject to the terms communicated at the time of payment.
Use the Service for any unlawful purpose; impersonate any person or entity; post false or misleading ride requests; use the platform to harass, threaten, or harm other users; attempt to gain unauthorized access to any part of the Service; reverse engineer, scrape, or interfere with the platform's operation.
All content, branding, and technology in the aTownRides platform are the property of aTownRides. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.
The Service is provided "as is" without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability or that the platform will be free of errors.
aTownRides facilitates connections but does not supervise individual rides. Users participate at their own risk. We strongly encourage riders and drivers to exercise personal safety judgment.
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, aTownRides shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the platform.
You may stop using the Service and request account deletion at any time.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at any time for violations of these Terms, or for any conduct we determine to be harmful to the platform or its users.
We may modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes through the app or via email. Continued use after notice of changes constitutes your acceptance.
These Terms are governed by applicable laws. Any disputes will be handled in good faith between the parties before escalating to formal proceedings.
